Kathryn Lunetta

Dr. Lunetta is a Professor of Biostatistics and a Statistical Geneticist with extensive experience in the design and analysis of genome-wide association and sequencing studies and collaborates on several large, national, and international genetic studies. Within the Framingham Heart Study, she co-leads a study of the relationship between circulating immune cells and cognitive decline. Her methodological research focuses on statistical problems, study design, and analysis issues in human genetics. Her collaborative work spans several fields, including the genetics of atrial fibrillation and related phenotypes; (multi-PI of the atrial fibrillation project in the NHLBI Trans-TOPMed Program); the genetics of healthy aging and reproduction, and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). As a member of the CHARGE consortium, she participates on the Steering and Analysis committees, and is senior statistician on multiple AD related projects, advising on methodology and long-term goals as well as providing day-to-day supervision of analyses.
