Wendy Qiu

Co-Director, Pilot Grant Program and Co-leader Project 2, FHS-BAP

Dr. Qiu is a Professor in Psychiatry and the Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics Departments at the Boston University School of Medicine. She is the co-director of Biomarker Core of Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) and a faculty member in the Neuroscience Program at Boston University. Dr. Qiu runs the Lab of Molecular Psychiatry in Aging and is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist caring for geriatric psychiatric patients. At the FHS-BAP she plays the role of co-director for the Project 2 which is investigating the impact of peripheral inflammation on Alzheimer’s disease (AD) risk genes for the disease development. Her research interests are the causes and mechanism for AD, and to translate her findings to seeking biomarkers for the diagnosis and drug targets for AD.
