Resilience/Resistance against Alzheimer’s Disease in Centenarians & Offspring (RADCO) is a National Institute on Aging funded study (U19-AG073172) with project start and end dates of 2022 to 2026.

RADCO’s goal is to characterize cognitive resilience or brain resistance to cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s in order to discover the underlying and and hopefully translatable biological mechanisms that enable centenarian cognitive superagers to maintain cognitive function similar to people thirty years younger. Our recent addition of Georgia State University markedly enriches the study sample with Black and African-American participants.
