We are actively enrolling centenarians ages 100 and older, as well as their siblings, children, nieces and nephews.
You will be asked to complete some questionnaires about your health and lifestyle, your family tree, and sociodemographic information. Research staff will then conduct a remote visit, either by phone or video, to collect health data pertaining to physical function and cognitive ability.
We will also collect a small blood sample. In order for a person to come to you to obtain a blood sample, we have established precautions regarding COVID-19 with participant safety in mind.
One of the goals of this research study is to find connections between the genetic and biological components identified in the samples and the functional health characteristics we observe during the virtual visit. These connections may help to explain how some individuals and their family members are able to show this degree of longevity while also delaying or escaping age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, and stroke.
We will come to you.
There are no costs to you, and you do not need to travel anywhere to be in the study. If you are interested in participating in this research study, would like more information about what is involved, or have questions about your eligibility for the study, please complete the form below and one of our research staff will follow up with you.
