Elise Armstrong Awarded F31 for PhD studies of lung interstitial macrophages

BU Pulmonary Center’s PhD candidate, Elise Armstrong (Mizgerd lab), was recently awarded the NIH NHLBI Predoctoral F31 Award for her project titled, “Lung interstitial macrophage remodeling during and after recovery from pneumococcal respiratory injection.” The proposed studies will bring novel and fundamental insights to an increasingly appreciated lung cell type, as well as help train Elise’s academic research career.
