Katharine Alger Promotion to Office Manager
We are so excited to announce that Katharine Alger has been promoted to the Office Manager role in the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Katharine has worked as a Senior Administrative Coordinator in the Section since June 2024, providing calendar support, managing section meetings and logistics, compiling the section newsletter and patient and lab spotlights, and assisting with the development of other section initiatives. Katharine is a dedicated and reliable member of our team and a valuable resource to faculty and staff. She has over 10 years administrative experience serving in previous roles for Massachusetts General Hospital and The Museum of Science. In Katharine’s new role as Office Manager, she will be assisting Dr. Gignac and other senior leaders with calendar management, scheduling meetings and managing logistics, managing candidate recruitment and faculty onboarding, faculty credentialing and enrollment, among other responsibilities. In her free time, Katharine enjoys traveling, reading, and playing a variety of different sports with Stonewall Sports Boston, where she is also a member of their Board.
