New Faculty Announcement-Maya Srinivasan, MD
We are delighted to announce that Maya Srinivasan, MD, has accepted an offer to join the faculty of the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Srinivasan is currently one of our outstanding third year fellows. She received her medical degree from St George’s University School of Medicine where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency, including a year as chief resident, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and as part of her efforts worked to establish an evening clinic to provide care for underserved communities. She was additionally a recipient of a Distinguished COVID-10 Frontline Service Award. During her fellowship at BU/BMC she has developed an interest in virally mediated lymphomas and is the recipient of a Robert Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials Career Development Award, which she will utilize to develop new clinical trials for patients with HTLV-1 mediated lymphoma. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Srinivasan as a faculty member and look forward to working with her next year!
