Welcome Anais Mortazavi Zadeh to the Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology

We are excited to welcome Anais Mortazavi Zadeh to the Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology! Anais will be working as the new clinical research assistant with Kiana Mahdaviani on the Translational Research Core team. Anaïs Mortazavi Zadeh comes to us from McGill University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts & Science in Cognitive Science. During her time at McGill, Anaïs was very dedicated to ensuring a welcoming and friendly environment for all her peers. She was involved in leading orientation events for incoming freshmen and also volunteered as the Equity Commissioner for the entire Arts & Science faculty. Academically, Anaïs has also always been eager to get involved in research, and she spent the last summer working as a member of the Translational Research in Affect and Cognition Lab at McGill. Following her graduation in June 2023, Anaïs realized that her career interests lie in the intersection of technology and scientific research. This is why she is currently pursuing her Master’s in Computer and Information Technology at the University of Pennsylvania. She is deeply passionate about how we can apply computer science and tools like Al to improve translational research and healthcare. Having the opportunity to be involved in the TRC will allow her to gain more hands-on experience with the world of research today to learn more about potential gaps and rooms for improvement in the future. In her spare time, Anaïs enjoys listening to music, learning languages, and catching up with her friends and family back home in Toronto. Though she misses them all dearly and also misses her family’s Iranian traditions, she is very excited to be a part of this team and looks forward to her new life living in Boston!
