Dr. Andrew Wilks Accepts Offer to Join Section of Hem Onc

We are delighted to announce that Andrew Wilks, MD, has accepted an offer to join the section of Hematology/Oncology at Boston University and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Wilks is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine where, in addition to his medical training, he received a master’s degree in biomedical sciences with a focus on cancer vaccines. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Vermont and is currently a senior fellow in hematology/oncology at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. During his residency and fellowship he has distinguished himself not only as an outstanding clinician, but also as the recipient of an American Society of Hematology Abstract Achievement award for work evaluating bleeding risk in cancer patients receiving anticoagulation. Dr. Wilks will be joining our hematology and hematology malignancy group in September, we are excited to welcome him to our section!
