Nellie Ferrara Receives Marie Antoinette Evans Staff Diversity Award
Congratulations to Nellie Ferrara, Project Manager/Fellowship Coordinator, for receiving the Marie Antoinette Evans Staff Diversity Award. This honor is awarded to a Department of Medicine non-faculty member who promotes the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility and promotes a culture of diversity within the Department and the broader community.
Many of us are already aware of Nellie’s integral work on the anti-racism committee and in the diversity workshops. Perhaps less well known is the way in which Nellie has personally reached out to so many of us to provide support and guidance as we work towards the common goal of creating a workplace and clinic environment that celebrates our various backgrounds, cultures, and strengths. Nellie could not be more deserving of this award!
