Welcome Kurtis Stadnicki to the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology

We are excited to welcome Kurtis Stadnicki to the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology! Kurtis will be working as a research assistant in the Translational Research Core (TRC). He comes to us from Merrimack College where he earned a BS in Biochemistry with additional interests in Physics and Health Science. Kurtis is currently applying to dental school and hopes to propel his time at BMC into his curiosity for oral pathology and oncology. Kurtis is deeply passionate about empowering patients through oral health education, especially among medically underserved populations. He hopes to become a general practitioner within the dental field, taking on a wide variety of dental procedures. During college, he participated for Merrimack College’s varsity baseball team, where he served as team captain in his senior year. Kurtis took on multiple research projects during his undergraduate, including complete genome annotation of a bacteriophage, antibiotic discovery within river sediment, and synthesis and identification of opioid drug analogs. Outside of research/academia, he enjoys working out, fishing, and most importantly, eating. Kurtis is originally from Concord, N.H. and grew up restoring old farm houses that his family now live in. Kurtis is located in EBRC 4 and can be reached at Kurtis.Stadnicki@bmc.org.  Welcome Kurtis!
