December 2008: Presentations at the American Society of Hematology Conference

Beth M. Hovey, PhD Candidate in Dr. David Seldin’s lab presented a poster on “siRNA, A Potential Therapy for AL Amyloidosis.”

Dr. Vaishali Sanchorawala presented a talk titled, “Treatment-Related Mortality in Patients with AL Amyloidosis Undergoing High-Dose Melphalan and Stem cell Transplantation: Trend over the Past 14 year at a Single Institution.”

The Name of the session was, “Clinical Transplantation – transplantation regimen toxicities and engraftment.”

Dr. Michael Rosenzweig presented, “Febrile Reactions Occurring with Second Cycle of High Dose Melphalan and Stem Cell Transplantation in Patients with AL Amyloidosis:  A “Melphalan Recall” Reaction.”

Dr. Zhao Lu presented a poster titled, “A Head-to-Head Comparison Between Cyclophosphamide and Ontak in Reducing the Influence of Tregs on Self (Tumor) Peptide-Specific CTL Responses.”
