Student Spotlight

A big congratulations to Edward (Eddie) Ruiz who has been one of seven graduate students at BU chosen to be a 2023 Hariri Institute Fellow. The Hariri Institute aims to support graduate students and junior faculty by creating opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration to further develop computational research methods. Edward was granted this award due to his exemplary and innovative research pursuits in the Genetics and Genomics Program. Eddie’s research primarily centers around the advancement of open-source computational techniques for spatial omics technologies, aiming to discover novel biomarkers or targeted therapies for cancer. As a Hariri Fellow, Eddie looks forward to fostering connections between researchers at BU who share an interest in computational research methods. Find out more here!
