May AGS
Last month, fellows and faculty in our Geriatrics section went to the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida. Past, present, and future members of the BUMC Geriatrics section presented. Topics included LGBTQ health curricula, equity in patient treatment, treating opioid use disorder, combating ageism, increasing colorectal cancer during COVID-19, and much more. Our faculty and fellows gave workshops and poster sessions on these topics. We’re so grateful for this opportunity to share our research and strengthen the geriatrics community.
Additionally, a few of our faculty led a “We Say Gay” Rally organized with other members of AGS.
