Dr. Rossana Lau-Ng: Facilitator for the AHRQ ECHO National Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network
Dr. Rossana Lau-Ng is participating as a facilitator in the Massachusetts hub, led by Hebrew Senior Life and Mass Senior Care for the AHRQ ECHO National Nursing Home COVID19 Action Network.
The AHRQ ECHO National Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network is a partnership between AHRQ, the University of New Mexico’s ECHO Institute and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) that provides 16-week training and mentorship to nursing homes across the country to increase the implementation of evidence-based infection prevention and safety practices to protect residents and staff against COVID-19. There are a network of regional hubs established throughout the nation to disseminate and facilitate this process.
Dr. Lau-Ng meets weekly in a virtual platform with her 30+ cohort of nursing home administrative and clinical leaders. They are over the halfway point for this 16-week national project! Just recently Dr. Hollis Day, Chief of Geriatrics joined the cohort as a subject matter expert on the topic of leadership and communication.
