New Funding Awarded
Congratulations to the following CARE Unit Faculty who have been awarded new funding between June-October, 2020.
- A $160,369 award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) for a project entitled, “Competitive revision to Stigma, Risk Behaviors and Health Care among HIV-infected Russian People Who Inject Drugs.” Karsten Lunze from General Internal Medicine is PI on this award.
- A $186,966 award from the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) for a project entitled, “Competitive Revision to URBAN ARCH 4/5 Russia Cohort-Targeting HIV-comorbidities with Pharmacotherapy to Reduce Alcohol and Tobacco Use in HIV-infected Russians.” Jeffrey Samet from General Internal Medicine is PI on this award.
- A $2,930,407 award ($974,309 in FY20) from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for a project entitled, “The SAFEST Choice Learning Collaborative.” Daniel Alford from General Internal Medicine is PI on this award.
- A $3,720,404 award ($579,003 in FY20) from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for a project entitled, “Training Addiction Physician Leaders to Prevent and Treat Addiction and its Consequences Among Vulnerable Populations.” Alexander Walley from General Internal Medicine is PI on this award.
- A $40,000 award from the Providence/ Boston Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) for a project entitled, “A tool to identify PrEP eligible youth in primary care.” Scott Hadland from Pediatrics is PI.
