3.0 Tesla Philips MR 7700
Our 3.0 T Philips MRI scanner, installed in 2020 and recently upgraded in 2024 to the advanced MR 7700 platform, is housed in the Evans Biomedical Research Center (X-Building) at 650 Albany Street, Boston MA. This state-of-the-art device now boasts high-performance gradient and RF capabilities, along with cutting-edge compressed sensing and multiband technologies. With its spacious 70 cm bore and fully digital acquisition platform, equipped with the latest software, allows us to achieve rapid, high-quality imaging that pushes the boundaries of clinical and research excellence.
This scanner is ideal for use with humans or large animals. Andrew Ellison, MA, MRS, oversees the day-to-day operations of the 3T Philips MR 7700 scanner.
