Kimberly Arena Named Distinguished Staff of the Month for April

The Dean’s Office is pleased to announce that Kimberly Arena, director of graduate affairs for Graduate Medical Sciences, has been named Distinguished Staff of the Month for April.

Kimberly joined the school in June 2017 Her nominators say she “works diligently to engage new students and welcome them onto campus for the start of the fall semester. Not only did she plan the in-person orientation that welcomed over 400 in person attendees, but she also works with GMS student organizations on programming, and with the other schools on the Medical Campus for joint events.

“Additionally, she has taken on a leadership role within the GMS Community Catalyst Center team helping with programming and mentorship of first-year students. She also has stepped outside of her role to provide professional mentorship and training to new GMS staff.

“We are lucky to have Kimberly!”
