Multidisciplinary Pituitary Unit

Dr. Sonia Ananthakrishnan leads a group which offers timely evaluation and treatment of patients with disorders of the pituitary gland in the Multidisciplinary Pituitary Center at Boston University School of Medicine.  This center offers comprehensive medical evaluation and medical and surgical therapies for patients with tumors in or near the pituitary, including but not limited to acromegaly and Cushing’s disease, diabetes insipidus, prolactin secreting or non-secreting tumors of the pituitary, as well as the management of pituitary disease in pregnancy.  The group works closely with physicians in the departments of otolaryngology, neurosurgery, neuro-opthalmology, neuro-radiology, interventional radiology and radiation oncology, to ensure excellent coordinated care of patients with pituitary disorders.

Fellows also participate in monthlu pituitary conference to discuss interesting cases.
