April-24-Monthly-Conference Fellowship seminars take place in the rheumatology conference room (E542) in the Evans building.

The Boston University Medical Center (BUMC) Rheumatology Fellowship Program provides organized training and supervision experience over two years, sufficient for the trainee to acquire proficiency as a consultant in rheumatology.  The program provides both the facilities and clinical experience with supervision to achieve this goal.  The facilities include inpatient facilities at Boston Medical Center and at the Boston VA Medical Center.  Each is fully equipped with imaging facilities (including computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging), a fully equipped clinical laboratory on a 24 hr basis and has a polarized light microscope available for use by the fellows.

Boston MCRC  ACCELERATOR Calendar : Boston MCRC ACCELERATOR meetings take place weekly on Tuesday in conference room X223 in the Evans Biomedical Research Center.

ACCELERATOR is a weekly Research meeting in which ongoing and proposed research projects are evaluated critically. This ensures frequent interactions between clinician researchers, epidemiologists and biostatisticians who are the core members of the MCRC. The Research Accelerator provides critical support for other federal and foundation grants related to rheumatic and arthritic disorders at Boston University.  Attendees consist of faculty (physicians, statisticians, and epidemiologists), rheumatology fellows, post-docs, project managers, data analysts, and graduate students.  The meeting starts at 9:30 and lasts about 2 hours, depending on the number of presentations. We review research proposals, analysis plans, abstracts, and manuscripts, and discuss new research ideas. We also invite outside speakers to give a talk on their research. Presenters often talk about their research for about one hour in an informal setting.
