Topics discussed at the meeting included imaging, biologics, cognition and neurobehavior, sleep, and many other areas of ongoing research.

One major update shared at the meeting was that the study name has officially changed from the “Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative” to the “Parkinson’s Precision Medicine Initiative.” This new name reflects the study’s evolution from solely tracking disease progression to actively advancing more personalized and targeted treatments for Parkinson’s disease.

The BUMC Movement Disorders team was honored with several site award recognitions during the meeting.
