Curling for a Cure
The Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chapter hosted its annual Curling for a Cure event on February 28 at Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, MA. The event was sold out, fueled by excitement surrounding the Winter Olympics, and brought together both novice and experienced curlers for a spirited and meaningful competition. First-time participants received on-site coaching, making the event welcoming and accessible to all.
Funds raised from the event support families affected by Huntington’s disease and advance the fight for improved care, expanded resources, and ongoing research.
We would love to give a shoutout to our own Abigail Desrosiers, Clinical Research Coordinator II, for serving on the event committee. Abigail also served as a Board Member for the chapter for the past five years, including as President from 2022–2024. Pictured here is part of our Gold Sponsor BMC team, represented by Dr. Kara Smith, Dr. Monica Ly, and Dr. Caroline Altaras.
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and donated to make the day such a success in support of this important cause. See you next year!
