BMC Highlights PD & Movement Disorders Center Patient for Parkinson’s Awareness

In the service of spreading Parkinson’s Awareness during April (PD Awareness Month), Boston Medical Center highlighted the story of Fred Searcy, a patient and research participant at the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center. When Dr. Marie Saint-Hilaire diagnosed Fred with the initial stages of Parkinson’s, he knew this would be a new chapter. Since then, Fred, with his partner Susan, has participated in research at the center with Dr. Saint-Hilaire and research nurse Ray James, which helps him feel more connected and in control in the face of the disease.

Living with PD, Fred stays positive and looks on the bright side of life. Learn more about Fred and his story here.
