Forum rules

Posting implies that you have read, and agree to abide by the Evans Center forums rules.

The purpose of this forum is to disseminate information, encourage exchange of opinions, and to provide a place for civilized discourse about scientific contents. Messages that are abusive or offensive will be removed. An offense will result in being banned from this forum.

Monitoring and responsibility: Although the administrators and moderators of this Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author ONLY and the Evans Center will not be held responsible for the content of any message.

Topics and Language: Conversation on the forum centers on topics related to science and teaching, particularly as they apply to the Evans Center. Topics not of this nature are not appropriate for discussion. Messages containing inappropriate language will be deleted as soon as they are detected. Members who post such items will be prohibited from posting without notice. By registering to this forum, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, racist, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or against any laws. No harassment will be tolerated. You can disagree with someone, but in civilized and respectful manners. Personal attacks on anyone will not be tolerated. Failure to abide by these standards will lead to sanction, suspension and ultimately, banishment.

Advertising and Infringement: Members are not allowed to advertise or solicit private businesses on this forum. No commercial messages or solicitations that have not been authorized by Boston University will be permitted on any message forum, and will be removed by the forum administrators.

Time Limits: Discussions will be deleted 90 days after the last posting.
