Biography

Dr. Jha joined our department on November 1, 2019. He earned his MD from University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Med Star Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Jha completed a fellowship in Complex cranial neurosurgery at University of South Florida Tampa General Hospital. Throughout his training, Dr. Jha has already shown a very promising career ahead of him. When he was a skull base neurosurgery fellow at University of South Florida Dr. Jha organized the cranial dissection club. He created the dissection curriculum, scheduled cadaver labs and taught medical students and resident’s cranial anatomy and surgical approaches. He served as a faculty instructor at the 17th Annual Masters Course in Skull Base Surgery and Microvascular Anastomosis at the University of Florida. Most of his publications are in the subspecialties of complex cranial neurosurgery. Dr. Jha is the primary author of several chapters in the 1st edition of a neurosurgical textbook Skull base Surgery: Strategies. Dr. Jha has nine publications and ten book chapters in neurosurgical textbooks. The expectations of Dr. Ribhu Tushar Jha in the Department of Neurosurgery will involve mentoring Neurosurgery residents, fellow and medical student’s education. Dr. Jha will be responsible for the expansion of the lab, creating and maintaining a dissection curriculum for the Residents and fellows.
