Biography
Growing up in a household of physicians, I was introduced to medicine at an early age and developed an understanding that there are still a lot of aspects of the human mind and body (and their interaction) that we do not understand. During my years at medical school, internship and my residency in obstetrics & gynecology, I gravitated towards psychiatry, as I found myself doing much more than just medicine. I believe in treating the person and not just the symptom.
I chose to practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente, as it provides me the opportunity to work closely with therapists in providing comprehensive psychiatric care-including individual, family and group therapy, along with medication management. I believe in partnership, not only with the patient but also the family and that together we can hope for a better and brighter future for patients with sometimes disabling mental illness.
