Latia Holmes Named Distinguished Staff of the Month for August

The Dean’s Office is pleased to announce that Latia Holmes, MS, MBA, has been named Distinguished Staff of the Month for August.

The administrative coordinator for the department of family medicine, Latia joined our community in February 2024.

Her nominators say, “Latia has helped the family medicine medical student education group beyond words! Although the role of clerkship coordinator is nowhere near her job description, she worked tremendously to help onboard a new coordinator hired two years ago and was always the point of contact to help the coordinator by using her amazing institutional knowledge.

“During the past four months that our coordinator has been on leave, Latia has stepped into the role without hesitation. Although she continues to juggle her other responsibilities, she is always one step ahead in helping our clerkship run fluidly.

“Latia is a joy to work with, and truly cares about students and her colleagues!”
