David Flynn, MS, Awarded April Distinguished Faculty of the Month

The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that David Flynn, MS, is April’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month.

A member of the BUMC community since 2006, Mr. Flynn is assistant director of library & information management education and assistant professor of medical sciences & education. He received his bachelor’s degree in humanities with a concentration in American literature and language from the Harvard Extension School and a master’s in library and information science from Simmons University.

The nomination states, “David shares his expertise and directly contributes to systematic reviews, literature searches, research projects and grant proposals. He puts research into context for grant proposals and does complex literature searches across multiple databases for systematic reviews. In addition, David tracks validated algorithms for COVID-19 literature searches, helping several teams monitor COVID literature that has exploded without precedent.”
