The social unrest of 2020 prompted the authors of the well-known text “Psychodynamic Formulation” to write a new edition of the book with abroad writing collective. This edition emphasizes the role of culture and society in shaping the conscious and unconscious patterns of individuals, and addresses the biases inherent in our work. Dr. Cabaniss will outline the principles of all psychodynamic formulations, and will introduce the group’s ideas about the relevance of culture and society in all psychodynamic formulations.
