Laura Lowery, PhD, Accepts Offer To Join Section

We are excited to announce that Laura Lowery, PhD, has accepted an offer to join the Section of Hematology/Oncology as a Research Associate Professor effective January 1, 2020. Dr. Lowery is a highly accomplished scientist who has performed seminal work on the regulation of microtubule dynamics. Among her contributions has been the identification of TACC proteins as key regulators of microtubules in neurons and multiple other cell types. She is the recipient of multiple NIH grants, as well as a grant from the American Cancer Society to further explore the role of TACC proteins in regulating cell motility and cancer metastases.

Dr. Lowery received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, a Ph.D at MIT, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School before moving to Boston College where she is currently an Associate Professor. We are thrilled to have her join us!
