Welcome

Deararc-logo-blue-198x100 All,

Boston University has a wealth of talent and knowledge in different fields, and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and the Medical Campus have had a long tradition of encouraging collaborative research. Therefore, I am delighted to take part in continuing and enhancing this mission by leading the Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research (Evans Center), launched in the spring of 2009.

The goal of the Evans Center is to promote basic research discovery pertinent to disease states by formalizing an interdisciplinary approach, and providing researchers, who are based at different departments, an additional organizational structure, support and motivation to collaborate in newly envisioned and ongoing fields. Although based in the Department of Medicine, the center aims at enhancing interdisciplinary research and training across the Department of Medicine, and among all departments and schools on the Medical and Charles River Campuses. Basic science discovery promoted by the center will also be available to the Clinical and Translational Science Institute or other centers for collaborative development of translational applications.

I invite you to join us in this exciting mission and opportunity.image

Sincerely yours,

Katya Ravid
