STRAP PTM
STRAP PTM, the Software Tool for Rapid Annotation of Protein Post-Translational Modifications, helps you recognize global, differential post-translational modifications in large proteomics data sets.
Downloads
You can download the program installer here. The STRAP PTM package comes with a tutorial and a sample data set to get you started.
Requirements
STRAP PTM requires Windows XP or higher with at least version 4.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework installed.
Input
STRAP PTM takes protXML files (usually from the TPP) as its input. These files are grouped by experimental condition so that you can analyze how modifications appear, disappear, or change across experimental conditions.
Output
STRAP PTM generates PTM maps that allow you to visualize the modifications as they differ between experimental groups. Additionally, it assigns a “PTM score” to peptides based on the degree to which they are differentially modified.
