Students Showcase “Superstar” Talents

COM Sep_2015_OpenMicIceCrmWhat features a microphone, musical instruments, comedic talent and assorted ice cream sundaes? The Class of 2019 Academy Open M-Ice Cream Social, of course!

On Sept. 2, more than 150 BUSM students and faculty gathered on Talbot Green to mix and mingle while showing support for students who showcased their many talents.

“The BUSM student body is very diverse and this event is really great for getting to learn about the amazing talents everyone has to offer,” said Neha Khemini, Class of 2018 student social ambassador. “The fact that we can come together to play music and entertain each other is a testament to our well-rounded class.”

Talent acts ranged from a performance by the Doctor’s Notes – the medical school’s a cappella group, a string instrument quartet, several students playing guitar and even juggling and magic tricks.

The event was sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs.
