See the Student Residence from Albany Street

With weeks of rain apparently over, the sun shines on the top three floors of the new student residence as they peek out above the top of the building at 801 Albany Street.

Much work has been completed over the past week including the completion of the fifth, sixth and seventh floor concrete decks. Both fireproofing work and duct work layout continue.

Please keep in mind that the Albany Street road work begins Wednesday, June 1.

The nine-story, $40 million structure is designed by Beacon Architectural Associates with a brick and limestone façade. Its 104 two-bedroom suites that include bath, kitchenette and living spaces will accommodate 208 students, each with individual bedrooms, the standard for graduate student housing. Walsh Brothers is the contractor for the building, which is expected to take 18 months to complete.
