Vascular Biology Research Finds Impact of E-Cigarette Use on Cholesterol

Study conducted by Vascular Biology postdoctoral fellow Dr. Sana Majid finds that e-cigarettes impact cholesterol and heart health of smokers.

“Those who vaped, the study found, had higher levels of unhealthy LDL cholesterol, on average, compared with nonsmokers. And levels of healthy HDL cholesterol were lower among people who used both traditional and e-cigarettes.”

The findings of this study will be presented at the upcoming meeting of the American Heart Association.
