Jerome S. Brody, MD, Lecture

BU Photo Services (KWZ) 6/21 BRODY, JEROME PULMONARY PROF. MED 06-2112Dr. Jerry Brody was Professor Emeritus in the Pulmonary Center. He was the longest serving Director of the Pulmonary Center, overseeing its growth and accomplishments for over 30 years. We endeavor to continue his mission, including pulmonary research performed by basic and clinical scientists working together.  Dr. Brody had a scientific passion for lung development and has made many seminal contributions relating to cigarette smoking-induced lung disease, including lung cancer and COPD. This lectureship honors Dr. Brody and his vision of multidisciplinary biological research advancing pulmonary medicine.

Dr. Brody passed away in January, 2023. A memorial was published in the red journal.

2017: Pasi A. Jänne, MD, PhD, Harvard Medical School and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, “Strategies to Treat and Prevent Resistance to EGFR Inhibitors in Lung Cancer.”
