Yang Jin awarded R01 for non-coding RNA studies
Professor Yang Jin, MD, PhD, was recently awarded a new R01 from the NIH/NHLBI for her project titled, “Novel mechanistic insights of inflammation and organ injury.” This project will investigate novel roles of specific types of non-coding RNAs in the pathogenesis of lung inflammation in response to infection-related stimuli. Dr. Jin and her team will use cell cultures and animal models to determine how the regulation and functions of these RNAs influences outcomes of pneumonia and sepsis.
