Faculty in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Biophysics work closely with individual students and postdoctoral fellows to prepare them for successful professional careers. We meet the diverse needs of our trainees by enhancing their skills in critical thinking, communication, leadership/management, and bioethics/intellectual property/research compliance to assure that our trainees are prepared for successful careers in academia, industry, local or federal government or where ever they may choose to work after BU.
A key component of the program is fostering professional development and career planning. Students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged throughout their training to formulate professional objectives by regular use of the career development opportunities available.
