Program: Graduate Program in Genetics and Genomics
Research Summary: I am interested in utilizing various biochemical and molecular biology techniques to investigate mechanisms of transcriptional regulation and signal transduction in the reward pathway and in dorsal root ganglia in models of neuropathic pain, aiming to identify more effective therapeutics for chronic pain.
I got my BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wake Forest University. After graduation, I worked as a research technician and laboratory manager at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my dog.
