Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Diversity Statement

Diversity is a core value of the Programs in Physiology & Biophysics. We are committed to creating an academic community of diversity and inclusion, with individuals of all backgrounds, traditions and differences, regardless of race, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, or sexual orientation. We believe this diversity enhances the outlook and academic richness of our Programs’ teaching, mentoring, and research missions. We support Boston University’s statement on diversity.

Commitment to Anti-Racism

The Programs in Physiology & Biophysics believes in a diverse and inclusive educational, research, and work environment for all of our students, staff, faculty and visitors. We are choosing specifically to be anti-racist and further to develop our allyship in the community. We commit to creating an environment where all employees and students regardless of race, ancestry, ethnicity, or culture are valued.

We support the division and university initiatives on diversity, equity and inclusion. For more information, please visit these links to GMS, Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Diversity and Inclusion at BU.
