Dr. Katelyn Bird Named June’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month

Dr. Katelyn C. K. Bird has just been named June’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month by the BU Faculty Affairs Office. Dr. Bird obtained her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with a Neuroscience Specialization at the University of Chicago before completing her Doctor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and neurology residency at Boston University Medical Center (BUMC), serving as chief resident in her final year. After she completed  her Movement Disorder Fellowship at BUMC, she joined the faculty in fall 2020. 

Dr. Bird currently serves as the Neurology Clerkship Director.

Her nominators say Katelyn “has been passionate about teaching since her residency at BUMC and she continues to be a devoted teacher as a faculty member.”
