Section Chief Michael Fischer Wins Leader in GIM Award
Chief of the Section of General Internal Medicine and Professor of Medicine, Michael Fischer, received the 2025 New England Society of General Internal Medicine Leader in General Internal Medicine Award. The award recognizes regional SGIM members for their significant contributions to SGIM and their role in advancing academic general internal medicine. Award winners include “individuals recognized as role models and educators in their institutions, those in prominent leadership or administrative roles, researchers contributing to the advancement of generalism, and individuals who have shown leadership in academic pursuits or organizations that bolster academic general internal medicine.” Congratulations to Dr. Fischer!
