Sarah Kimball Receives AMA Foundation Excellence in Medicine Award
On Saturday, June 7, the AMA Foundation recognized their Excellence in Medicine Award recipients. Dr. Sarah Kimball, an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Immigrant and Refugee Health Center, received the Dr. Debasish Mridha Spirit of Medicine Award. This award recognizes the work of US physicians who demonstrate altruism, compassion, integrity, leadership, and personal sacrifice while providing quality care to marginalized populations in underserved communities.
As a national leader in immigration-informed medical care, Dr. Kimball focuses on building responsive health systems that promote holistic health and equity for immigrant communities. In honor of Dr. Kimball, the AMA Foundation awarded a grant to the Rian Immigrant Center. Congratulations to Dr. Kimball!
