BU LGBTQIA+ Scholar Series: Health, Policy, and Politics: Advances, Challenges, and Potential Opportunities

Featuring Kevin Nguyen, Assistant Professor, Department of Health Law, Policy, and Management, School of Public Health Dr. Kevin Nguyen will review the historical perspectives on LGBTQIA+ health and policy, recent advancements in LGBTQIA+ health policy research, the evolution of LGBTQIA+ data collection, and possible challenges and opportunities in the coming decades. Dr. Nguyen will highlight recent changes in policies related to health insurance coverage and access to care. The Scholar Series, a signature program of the LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff, is a monthly, facilitated virtual space where BU scholars showcase their recent LGBTQIA+ scholarly research.
