Shattuck Hospital Construction Update (formerly East Newton Pavilion)

As part of the ongoing construction of the state’s new Shattuck Hospital (formerly East Newton Pavilion), there will be increased work in the “alley” next to the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. It began Wednesday, Aug. 24, and is expected to continue thru November. The work area is shown in blue shading on the diagram below.

Construction in the “alley” requires the use of an excavator and a hoe ram and will generate elevated noise and vibrations. Sensors are in place to monitor the vibrations caused by the construction and BU is working with the State’s Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) to minimize interference with GSDM operations.
