BUMC Academy for Faculty Advancement Seeking Early Career Faculty

Are you applying for a grant? Developing a curriculum? Writing an article? Starting a clinic? Preparing a quality initiative? If so, you may be interested in learning about the Academy for Faculty Advancement (AFA). Now accepting applications for the 2013-2014 academic year, this structured mentoring program is open to early career faculty from schools on the BU Medical Campus. The AFA is project-based, and provides opportunities for peer and senior mentoring, and leadership training to facilitate meeting the goals of early career faculty. The third year of this unique program begins in September 2013.

Robina Bhasin, EdM, recently joined BUSM as the Director of Faculty Development and Diversity in the Department of Medicine. Robina has a decade of experience developing, implementing and evaluating professional development programs for health and education practitioners and policy makers in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa and the United States. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. BUMC faculty members are invited to stop by her office (Evans 116) anytime.
