California Alumni Open Their Homes to GSDM Family
Two BU alumni couples in California hosted events at their homes this month. The Dean and Mrs. Hutter and fellow alumni gathered for spectacular views and reminiscing about the School.
“With nearly 700 GSDM alumni in California we have begun to focus on building a robust complement of alumni programs in the region,” said Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter. “It was such a pleasure to be hosted by these gracious and generous alumni in Newport Coast and Napa and to have the opportunity to spend time with so many of our alumni.”
On Thursday, June 9, GSDM alumni Arash Aftabi DMD 98 PERIO 01 and Farnoush Fadavi ENDO 98 hosted a dinner at their Newport Coast home for Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter and Mrs. Kathy Hutter, along with their fellow GSDM alumni from the area. In attendance were: Leyla Fazeli DMD 01 and her husband Donald Dennis, James Kloss ENDO 69 and his wife Carol, Nooshin Majdzarringhalam DMD 97 ORTHO 03 and her husband Saman Malkami DMD 96 ENDO 03, Saeid Malboubi PERIO 09 and his wife Nikki, and Dick Mungo DMD 75 and his wife Kris.
On Saturday, June 11, GSDM alumna Mary Rocca DMD 84 and Medical School alum Eric Grigsby MED 84 hosted a reception at their Napa Valley home for Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter and Mrs. Kathy Hutter and Medical School Dean Karen Antman. Alumni Board President Tina Valades DMD 84 and her husband Ralph Tullberg also attended. Local GSDM alumni in attendance were: Ana Maria Antoniu, DMD 04, Wallace Bellamy DMD 89 and his guest Elaine Ferrari, Robert Levine DMD 90, Lawrence Sarkis DMD 84 and his wife Carin, Jennifer Vitez DMD 09 and her sister Jessica, and Richard Yamanaka ENDO 76 and his wife Sharlene.
