27th Huntington’s Disease Society of America Annual Convention

Movement Disorder Center Social Worker Allyson Gormley, LICSW was selected by the Huntington’s Disease Society of American to receive a grant. This was provided by Lundbeck to attend the HDSA Professional Training Day specifically designed for social workers. The Professional Training Day was one part of the HDSA Annual Convention. Allyson met with other social workers from around the country. The day provided opportunity to address the specific support needs of individuals and families living with Huntington’s disease. Here at Boston University Medical Campus/Boston Medical Center, Allyson coordinates the Huntington’s Disease Clinic. Dr. Samuel Frank, the Huntington’s Disease Clinic Medical Director, also attended this convention and presented Clinical Trials Diplomat Training.
