Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program 2020

Boston University Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center will once again host the Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse faculty Program at Parkinson’s Foundation. This program established in 2010 provides faculty from undergraduate nursing programs an intensive program designed to prepare nursing students to care for people living with Parkinson’s, caregivers and families. The program will take place on May 18-21, 2020. An interdisciplinary team of faculty and staff participate in this program designed to enhance the knowledge of nursing faculty. Cathi Thomas MS, RN has coordinated this program for the past nine years and appreciates the opportunity to provide education and clinical mentorship to dedicated guest faculty. To date over fifty nursing faculty have attended this program at Boston University Medical Campus and have developed projects that have benefited not only nursing graduates but also the greater community.
