BUMC Movement Disorders Specialists Travel to Haiti
This February, members of the BUMC Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center traveled to Haiti in order to care for patients and provide training to health care professionals. Stephanie Bissonnette, DO, MPH, Movement Disorder Specialist, and Lauren Talman, MD, Movement Disorder Fellow both took the trip as part of BU’s Global Health Initiative. Dr. Bissonnette is the Director of the Initiative. The Global Health Initiative has coordinated the trip to Haiti in partnership with the Saint Luke Foundation for the past six years.
